Candili, Euboea 2013 testimonials

J'ai énormément apprécié cette semaine de stage. Toutes les conditions étaient réunies pour en faire un séjour inoubliable: cadre superbe, bucolique, dans une magnifique propriété au pied des montagnes, avec piscine; repas délicieux, frais et sains; atmosphère conviviale, empreinte d'humour, et surtout cours de chant de haut niveau dispensés par des professeurs dévoués, respectueux, très professionnels et à l'écoute de leurs étudiants (Michael Chance et Lynne Dawson). J'ai découvert d'autre part la technique Alexander, tout à fait intéressante pour les chanteurs en particulier. Pour moi qui me situe dans le rang des amateurs de musique et qui craignais de me retrouver avec des 'professionnels', je dois dire que j'ai ressenti comme un véritable privilège de pouvoir côtoyer tous les jeunes 'talents' réunis à Candili, de pouvoir assister parfois à leurs cours, tout en ayant moi-même souvent la possibilité de développer ma propre voix. Bref, ce fut une expérience extrêmement enrichissante et je recommande vivement.

L'accademia è stata senza esagerare una delle esperienze più belle della mia vita, è stata utile professionalmente perché era la prima volta che studiavo con un controtenore (e anche la prima volta che mi potevo confrontare, inaspettatamente, con tanti altri controtenori di tutto il mondo!) ma soprattutto un'esperienza umanamente ricca: abbiamo vissuto un'atmosfera speciale, nell'amicizia, nel divertimento, nel rispetto, nel confronto. organizzazione ottima, cibo meraviglioso, ambiente splendido. Le serate musicali dopo cena sono state veramente emozionanti! purtroppo non ho foto mie, ma solo bellissimi ricordi. Maestro spero tanto di poter partecipare anche l'estate prossima a siena! Intanto grazie di cuore per questi giorni passati in grecia! A presto.

For me attending Michael Chance’s Summer Academy was one of the highlights of 2013. The main reason is that working with Michael, Lynne Dawson, Paul Beier and Fiona Tree was great, fun and inspiring. All four of them are such wonderful masters. Another reason was the friendly atmosphere they created. An atmosphere that allowed us to make music and make new friends. I still feel the benefits of this extraordinary week.

I had a wonderful time last July in Candili Euboea. Although I am a lutenist, my profit was not only the contact and lessons with maestro Paul Beier but actually everything that was going on during this summer Academy of 2013: The singing lessons that I watched by Michael Chance and Lynne Dawson, our intimate concerts and of course our everyday Alexander technique lessons with Fiona Tree that I miss so much. All these events taking place in an astonishing place in Euboea surrounded by a breathtaking landscape. Wonderful memories, I miss you all and I am looking forward to meeting you again soon.
